Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 16, 2026. TFT Guessr uses essential session cookies, local browser storage, and optional cookieless analytics with a browser opt-out choice.
Essential Session Cookies
When you sign in, TFT Guessr sets an HTTP-only cookie named tftguessr_session. It keeps you signed in, uses SameSite=Lax, and lasts up to 30 days unless you sign out earlier.
This cookie stores a random session token in your browser. The server stores only a hash of that token.
When an authorized admin signs in to the admin panel, TFT Guessr sets an HTTP-only cookie named tftguessr_admin. It protects admin access, uses SameSite=Lax, and lasts up to 12 hours.
Local Browser Storage
TFT Guessr stores local progress keys such as tftguessr:progress:{date} and tftguessr:month:{YYYY-MM}. These remember your daily guesses and local monthly stars on this browser.
Local progress stays on your device unless you clear it through the site controls or your browser's site data settings.
Cookieless Analytics
TFT Guessr loads Plausible Analytics from plausible.io to measure aggregate site usage. Plausible does not use cookies or persistent identifiers.
The privacy choices banner stores your choice as tftguessr:analytics-consent in local browser storage. If analytics is disabled, TFT Guessr also sets Plausible's plausible_ignore opt-out flag.
Your Choices
You can keep or disable analytics from the banner. After a choice is saved, the Privacy Choices footer button is removed. To reset your saved choice, clear this site's browser data.
You can block cookies in your browser, but signing in may stop working. You can clear local storage through browser site data controls, which may reset local progress and analytics choices on that device.
